Russia’s gross domestic product grew by 4.1 percent last year, the country’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Friday.
‘It was more than we expected,’ Mishustin told Russian President Vladimir Putin in a televised meeting.
According to Mishustin, Russia’s bloated military spending in Ukraine has fueled economic growth.
Economic growth of just over four percent is relatively high. For example, the eurozone economy is estimated to have grown by 0.7 percent in 2024, while growth in the United States was 2.8 percent.
