The British newspaper The Telegraph reported reports that some member countries of the military alliance NATO have held informal discussions about sending troops to secure the territorial integrity of Greenland.
The newspaper bases its news on anonymous diplomatic sources.
According to the Telegraph, Germany, among others, has participated in discussions about “what NATO forces should do” if the United States carries out its threat to take over the Danish island.
US President Donald Trump has said he believes the United States will “get Greenland”.
