1937: In the Nablus mountains, traditional home of Palestine’s bandits, the British forces are slowly advancing against the bandit army, numbering about 500.

It is hoped that with the eradication of this band a step towards restoration of peace will have been taken.

Countless caves honeycomb the rugged, roadless area.

The advance the armoured cars can only be a crawl, and many mules have been ordered from Cyprus so that guns an supplies may be carried where the armoured cars fail.

The troops are gradually closing in and cutting off their food supplies.
