Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last night, reports ERT, the Greek broadcaster.

During their discussion, they reviewed the latest developments, with Mitsotakis reiterating that it is up to Ukraine to decide on the peace framework acceptable to it and that nothing can be decided for Ukraine without Ukraine.

The Greek Prime Minister also informed Zelensky that he will participate on Monday, February 24, in a leaders’ video conference organized by Kyiv to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

President Zelensky later expressed his gratitude to the Greek Prime Minister for Greece’s unwavering support for Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of the principle: “Nothing for Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing for Europe without Europe.”

“We deeply appreciate the solidarity of the Greek people, Greece’s firm stance in condemning aggression, and its commitment to the principle: ‘Nothing for Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing for Europe without Europe,'” Zelensky stated in a post.

The two leaders also discussed strengthening cooperation between their countries, joint European projects, security guarantees, and enhancing defense capabilities. Zelensky expressed his hope for significant initiatives during Greece’s non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
