A vehicle fire in the Chloraka area caused significant damage late last night.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 PM and was reportedly ignited by a lit cigarette accidentally dropped by the owner onto the driver’s seat.
Fire Department personnel were promptly dispatched to the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.
The fire caused extensive damage to the interior of the vehicle, particularly affecting the driver’s and passenger’s seats.
According to initial reports, the owner of the vehicle was smoking when the lit cigarette fell and ignited the seat upholstery.
