Cyprus weather update for Tuesday 25 Feb: Cold spell continues

Cyprus remains in a cold spell as the Coral air mass affects the region.

Today, expect partly cloudy skies with southwest to northwest winds at 3 to 4 Beaufort, making the sea slightly rough.

Temperatures will rise to around 13°C inland and on the coast, with the higher mountains seeing 4°C and frost expected initially.

Tonight, increased cloudiness will develop locally.

Winds will shift to blow mainly from the northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will calm to slightly rough.

Temperatures will drop to 3°C inland, 6°C on the coast, and -3°C in the higher mountains, with frost forming in the mountains and semi-mountains.

On Wednesday and Thursday, expect increased cloudiness and possible isolated rain in the mountainous areas. By Friday, local rain or even a storm is expected, with snowfall in the higher mountains.

Temperatures will gradually rise until Thursday and remain steady on Friday, staying close to average climatological values. As of the latest bulletin, the snow depth in Chionistra was recorded at 5 centimeters.
