The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus has reaffirmed its support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in a recent statement.
The Ministry emphasized its commitment to resolving the war in accordance with the rules-based international system, aiming for a just and lasting peace.
It also highlighted the importance of continuing dialogue to achieve this goal.
The message of support comes after a tense meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
The Ministry stated, “We reiterate our firm support for a resolution of the war in accordance with the rules-based international system, with the aim of ensuring a just and lasting peace. Continuing dialogue for this purpose is key.”
Meanwhile, Zelensky arrived in Britain where he is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer this afternoon, according to an announcement from Starmer’s office. This meeting precedes a broader conference of European leaders set to take place in London tomorrow.
“The Prime Minister and President Zelensky will meet in Downing Street this afternoon,” a spokesman for the British Prime Minister’s Office stated.
