President Nikos Christodoulides has received a letter from United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, inviting him to participate in an expanded meeting on the Cyprus problem in Geneva on March 17-18.
In his letter, the UN Secretary-General noted that the meeting aims to have a meaningful exchange of views on progressing the Cyprus problem.
The meeting will begin with a dinner on March 17 and continue on the morning of March 18 with bilateral contacts, followed by a plenary session at the UN building, Palais des Nations.
The detailed agenda of the meeting will be announced soon.
The Secretary-General reiterated the UN’s firm commitment to finding a common framework for progress on the Cyprus problem, expressing hope that the meeting will create positive momentum for the future.
