Police have arrested a 32‑year‑old man in connection with a robbery involving a knife and an improvised weapon, authorities said.
According to a complaint filed by another 32‑year‑old man, two individuals approached him around 8 p.m. on May 9 in a Nicosia area and demanded money.
One suspect allegedly pulled a knife and lightly injured the victim, while the second struck him on the arm with a piece of wood. The pair then restrained him and stole his wallet, which contained cash.
Officers from the Ledras Sub‑station located and arrested the suspect Tuesday night. He is expected to appear in court Wednesday for a remand hearing.
Nicosia CID is investigating the case.
