FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A marathon is set to take place in Paphos on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The race will begin at Petra tou Romiou and conclude at the medieval castle of Kato Paphos.

Runners will follow the old Limassol-Paphos B6 road, passing through Kouklia, Mandria, Timi, Achelia, Koloni, and ending in Paphos. From 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the lane heading toward Paphos at the B6 junction near the “ALFAMEGA” supermarket in Mandria will be closed, with traffic directed to the motorway. Access to Paphos Airport will remain open but under police control, while traffic heading toward Limassol will not be affected.

Simultaneously, Kato Paphos will host half-marathon and 10-kilometer races from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. As a result, Poseidonos Avenue, Eratous Avenue, and connecting streets between these roads will be closed from 7:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Drivers are advised to avoid affected routes and follow the directions of police officers and traffic wardens to minimize disruptions.
