FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Members of the Aliens and Immigration Service (IA&M), with support from the Green Line Surveillance and Countermeasures of Migrant Flows Sub-Directorate, conducted a coordinated operation in the Paphos district to combat illegal immigration.
During the operation, 51 foreign nationals from third countries were arrested for illegally residing in the Republic of Cyprus.
Of those detained, 37 were immediately repatriated, while 14 remain in custody as repatriation procedures are underway.
The IA&M has reiterated its commitment to enforcing immigration laws through targeted operations, strengthening efforts to address illegal immigration across the island.
