FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Following action by President Nikos Christodoulides, police riot teams intensified patrols in Larnaca—especially along the coastal road—resulting in 19 arrests this week.
According to local media reports from Fileleftheros and Alithia, five of those arrested were allegedly caught in possession of knives, narcotics, and other illegal items.
Separately, seven vehicles were set ablaze early Thursday morning in an open lot in Tseri. Firefighters extinguished the flames, and authorities found that flammable liquid had also been poured over an eighth vehicle, though it was not ignited.
