FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A forest fire in the Inia community destroyed approximately three acres of low wild vegetation and reed beds on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The fire, detected at 11:30 a.m. by a Forestry Department patrol vehicle, was extinguished within an hour by four department staff and a fire truck, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.
Investigators are working to determine the exact cause of the blaze.
