FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – An American Airlines plane carrying U.S. politicians collided with another plane on the taxiway at Reagan National Airport on Thursday.
No injuries were reported, authorities said.
The incident occurred when the wingtip of a Bombardier CRJ900, bound for Charleston, South Carolina, struck an Embraer E175 en route to JFK Airport in New York.
U.S. aviation authorities confirmed the collision.
This comes after a tragic event in January, when 67 people lost their lives as an American Airlines plane collided with a military helicopter near the airport, both crashing into the Potomac River.
