At least 15 people died as a result of a stampede at the New Delhi train station in India on Saturday.
10 women and 3 children are among the dead, Reuters reports.
India Today writes that panic broke out on a platform at the train station as several thousand people tried to get on the trains.
According to the website, most of the people in the area were on their way to the Maha Kumbh Mela, a Hindu festival considered the largest religious gathering in the world.
It is estimated that the festival will have around 400 million participants this year.
