The UN says that at least 53 billion euros are needed to rebuild Gaza.
20 billion euros will be needed over the first three years.
According to the UN, 92 percent of all housing units in Gaza have been completely or partially destroyed. So has most of the infrastructure such as electricity and water supplies, as well as the health system.
“Although it has not been possible under current circumstances to obtain an overview of all needs in Gaza, a preliminary estimate shows the enormous scale of the reconstruction needs in Gaza,” says UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
