Health authorities in north Cyprus are conducting comprehensive inspections to protect students’ health and raise hygiene standards in school canteens.
Inspections include examining the general hygiene status of the canteens, checking the expiration dates of food items, detecting products not suitable for child nutrition, and making necessary warnings.
New purification systems installed in the schools this year were also checked, and the health checks of canteen workers were evaluated by examining their health cards.
Deficiencies identified during the inspections were reported to business owners and school administrations, with necessary warnings made to correct them as soon as possible.
