FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Bayern Munich moved nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with a commanding 4-0 victory over Heidenheim on Saturday, strengthening its grip on the title race.

Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 13th minute, firing past goalkeeper Kevin Muller from outside the area after receiving a pass from Michael Olise. Six minutes later, Konrad Laimer doubled the lead, finishing a precise assist from Serge Gnabry.

Kingsley Coman made it 3-0 in the 36th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after Muller denied Raphael Guerreiro. Joshua Kimmich sealed the win early in the second half with a well-placed shot following a smooth exchange with Aleksandar Pavlovic and Guerreiro.

Heidenheim’s best chance came in the 65th minute when Sirlord Conteh broke free, but Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig preserved his clean sheet—the first of his Bundesliga career.

“We needed this win,” Kimmich said. “It was an important step towards the title. We are now nine points clear. Leverkusen will have to respond.”

With four rounds remaining, Bayern remains in control, while Heidenheim continues its fight against relegation.

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, fourth-placed Leipzig drew 1-1 against Holstein Kiel, missing an opportunity to strengthen its Champions League qualification hopes. Freiburg edged Hoffenheim 3-2, Wolfsburg held Mainz to a 2-2 draw, and Werder Bremen secured a 1-0 win over Bochum. Union Berlin and Stuttgart played to a thrilling 4-4 draw, setting a Bundesliga record for most first-half goals.
