A body found on a beach in Avdimou on 15 January has been identified through DNA testing as that of Russian businessman Vladislav Baumgertner, authorities in the British Bases said.
Baumgertner, 53, a Russian national living in Limassol, had been reported missing on 7 January.
The British Bases Police said the circumstances and cause of death remain under investigation by their Criminal Investigation Department.
Relatives have been informed, and authorities said inquiries are continuing in line with established procedures.
