FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Canadian firm Central European Petroleum (CEP) says it has discovered significant offshore oil and gas deposits near Poland, potentially marking one of the largest finds in Europe over the past decade.
Preliminary drilling suggests recoverable reserves equivalent to 200 million barrels of oil, CEP announced Monday. The site is located roughly six kilometers off the coast of Świnoujście in the Baltic Sea.
The company said further evaluations are underway to confirm the full scope of the find.
