FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – China, Qatar, Switzerland, and several other nations have committed over $170 million to the World Health Organization (WHO) during its annual meeting on Tuesday.
Member states also agreed to raise membership fees to offset the financial gap left by the United States, which announced its withdrawal from the organization in January.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized the importance of these contributions, stating that they will support the organization’s ongoing global health initiatives.
