FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The removal of visa requirements for Cypriot citizens traveling to the United States now rests with Washington, according to Cyprus government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis.
Speaking on CYBC, Letymbiotis said Cyprus has made significant progress on all criteria outlined in recent years for entering the U.S. Visa Waiver Program.
He cited a recent visit by Deputy Minister to the President Irini Piki to Washington, where U.S. officials reportedly confirmed the advancement.
Letymbiotis emphasized that any future inclusion of Cyprus in the program now depends solely on the internal processes of the American government.
