FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus remained slightly below the European Union average for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita expressed in purchasing power in 2024, according to data from the European Statistical Office, Eurostat.
Phileleftheros reports that the purchasing power in Cyprus was 95% of the EU average and 104% of the Eurozone average.
Meanwhile, Haravgi newspaper announced that a protest against high prices will take place tomorrow at 11 a.m. in “Eleftheria” Square in Nicosia. According to the report, the Social Alliance has called on the public to join the demonstration.
Participants will gather in “Eleftheria” Square before marching to the Ministry of Finance. The protest underscores growing concerns over inflation and economic pressures in the region.
