PAPHOS — The Department of Public Works began removing heavy concrete blocks from the entrance of Paphos Airport on Tuesday morning, replacing them with traffic bollards.
The barriers were installed nearly two years ago following a regional security crisis.
Transport Minister Alexis Vafeadis, who visited the airport, said the original security concerns no longer apply.
