Cyprus: Consumer Prices Rise 2.3% in February 2025

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices in Cyprus (HICP) increased by 2.3% between February 2024 and February 2025, with a 0.3% rise from January to February 2025, according to the latest data.

Year-over-year, the largest price increases were seen in Recreation and Culture (7.2%) and Restaurants and Hotels (4.7%), while Clothing and Footwear experienced the steepest decline at -4.9%. Month-to-month, Transport (1.2%) and Clothing and Footwear (0.8%) recorded the most notable changes.

For the January-February 2025 period, compared to the same timeframe in 2024, Recreation and Culture (7.3%), Restaurants and Hotels (4.7%), and Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (3.9%) showed the highest increases.

In economic categories, Services rose 4.3% and Energy 3.4% compared to February 2024, while Energy also saw the largest monthly increase at 1.2%.
