FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE  – Electricity bills in Cyprus can now be paid at post offices under a new agreement aimed at improving access to services, particularly for elderly residents and those in remote areas.

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) and Cyprus Post signed the agreement Tuesday, adding 51 post offices to the existing 10 EAC customer service points.

Energy Minister George Papanastasiou and Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades attended the signing. Papanastasiou highlighted the importance of collaboration between organizations to enhance flexibility and service quality. Vafeades emphasized how the initiative strengthens social cohesion by offering alternative payment options and “bringing the state closer to the citizen.”

The EAC described the agreement as part of a shared vision to improve citizens’ quality of life. ■
