FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Cyprus Fire Service and CNP Asfalistiki have teamed up for the 24th year to promote fire safety awareness under the theme, “Let’s not leave our dreams turn into ashes.”
Fire Safety Week runs from April 28 to May 4, 2025, under the auspices of Justice Minister Marios Hartsiotis.
The event was officially launched at CNP Cyprus headquarters on April 28, with speeches from Hartsiotis, Fire Chief Nicos Logginos, CNP Cyprus CEO Takis Phidia, and CNP Asfalistiki General Manager Andreas C. Stylianou. CNP Asfalistiki also donated two children’s fire engines for educational outreach at schools.
The week’s highlight is an open public event on May 3 at MYMALL in Lemesos, featuring fire equipment displays, child-focused activities, and live radio coverage. Fire safety information and symbolic gifts will be distributed. ■
