FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The GESY software system faced significant disruptions from Friday afternoon to Sunday noon, impacting services for doctors, pharmacists, and patients.
According to reports, some patients were unable to receive services during this period.
The system has reportedly been plagued by serious issues since October 2024.
The IT Director of the Health Insurance Organization (OAY), attributed the ongoing problems to the departure of a key subcontractor from the software project team, according to CyBC.
He emphasized the expertise gap and urged the contractor company to address the issues promptly, stressing that time is not unlimited for resolving these challenges.
