FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Paphos is set to host the Gran Fondo World Cycling Race from April 4–6, 2025, bringing over 400 cyclists from 37 countries to compete in this internationally celebrated event.
Starting at the Medieval Castle Square, the race is part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, with 25% of participants qualifying for the World Championship final.
The race spans 212.5km and welcomes semi-professional and amateur athletes alike, showcasing Paphos’ scenic beauty and cultural heritage.
Since its debut in 2013, the Gran Fondo has become a cornerstone event, supported by the Paphos Municipality.
Festivities begin Friday, April 4 at 8:15 a.m., culminating Sunday, April 6 at 3:00 p.m. with an award ceremony at the Medieval Castle amphitheater.
