FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Bus drivers in Larnaca will continue their indefinite strike following the rejection of a framework proposal submitted by the Ministry of Labour to resolve a dispute with Larnaca Public Transport over the collective agreement.
The drivers met Tuesday afternoon at the SEK union offices in Larnaca with representatives from PEO, SEK, and DEOK unions. Earlier in the day, union officials had participated in extended talks in Nicosia with Andis Apostolou, director of industrial relations at the Ministry of Labour.
The ministry’s proposal addressed working hours—a key demand from the drivers, who have been on strike for a week, accusing the company of violating the terms of their agreement.
