Cyprus Budget Surplus Shrinks in First Four Months, Data Show

Cyprus recorded a budget surplus of €593.4 million in the first four months of 2026, a drop of €593.4 million from the same period last year, according to preliminary figures released by the Statistical Service.

The surplus for January–April equals 1.5% of GDP, compared with 1.7% in the same period of 2025.

Last year’s surplus for the first four months stood at €614 million.
