FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE -A 23-year-old man was arrested early Monday for impersonation and possession of burglary tools after police stopped his vehicle during routine crime prevention checks, authorities said.
Limassol police said the man, a foreign national, was pulled over around 1 a.m. During the inspection, he allegedly presented false identity documents, including an asylum form from the Pournara reception center. Further examination revealed the documents belonged to another person, leading to his arrest for impersonation.
A search of the vehicle uncovered burglary tools, and officers re-arrested him on charges of possessing burglary tools at night.
Police said the suspect was also driving without a valid driver’s license or insurance coverage.
