FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Ministry of Education urged caution Thursday regarding reports on school violence, stressing the need for accurate, substantiated claims.
School violence, a global social issue, reflects broader societal challenges, the ministry said, adding that a multidisciplinary approach is essential to tackle the problem.
Unverified reports risk distorting the public’s perception of public schools and could hinder effective solutions.
The ministry also warned that claims made during a March 26 parliamentary session, which depicted extreme incidents and a sharp rise in violence, do not align with the reality of public schools.
It called for facts to be fully investigated and responsibly presented.
