A week-long information and policing campaign in Cyprus focused on road checks for trucks and buses took place from February 17 to 23, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance road safety.
The initiative, carried out at a pan-European level by member countries of the European Road Policing Network (Roadpol), aimed to raise awareness about the risks associated with non-compliance with road safety legislation.
It also intensified traffic controls to detect violations committed by truck and bus drivers.
During the campaign, a total of 411 inspections of trucks and buses were conducted, resulting in 243 booking for various traffic offenses.
The focus on these inspections highlights the ongoing commitment to ensuring safer roads for all users.
