NICOSIA — Two additional Greek Cypriots detained by Turkish Cypriot authorities have been released on bail, bringing the total number of released individuals to five.
The men were ordered to pay bail of 100,000 Turkish lira each, had their travel documents confiscated, and were barred from leaving the breakaway region. They are scheduled to appear again before the so-called district court in Trikomo on Sept. 19.
The decision followed the withdrawal of a complaint filed with the local police by a woman residing in the apartment complex where the five Greek Cypriots were reportedly seen.
The other three individuals were released under similar conditions last Wednesday.
