Cyprus police have increased security across critical infrastructure and other high‑risk locations following developments in the Middle East, officials said Sunday.
A police spokesman said the measures are precautionary and part of a broader operational plan designed to prevent potential threats.
He said the force remains on heightened alert, with the protection of the public and the safeguarding of national security as its top priorities.
Authorities did not specify which sites are receiving additional protection, but the measures apply to facilities considered vital to the functioning of the Republic of Cyprus.
