A hoax message about a bomb being planted has caused chaos in dozens of secondary and primary schools across Cyprus.
According to Cyprus radio, a Crisis Center under the supervision of the Assistant Chief, in collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of Education was set up on Tuesday morning.
The report does not specify which schools – or how many – were mentioned in the threat.
However, the Minister of Education Athina Michaelidou, speaking on Cyprus radio, said that the relevant protocols were immediately activated.
The Minister of Education stated that, in the past, in a similar incident, it became apparent that the origin of the messages was a neighboring country.
