Police in Cyprus are investigating a new case of online fraud and extortion of $58,000.
According to the complaint filed by a 50-year-old man from Limassol, last December he invested in cryptocurrencies.
As he reported, when he suspected fraud and tried to reclaim his investment, he was asked to deposit additional money.
The police advise the public to be cautious when making any transactions and investments via the internet.
