Cyprus Police Search for Suspects After Attempted Murder Outside Limassol Hotel

LIMASSOL, Cyprus — A 37-year-old Ukrainian man was seriously injured in an attempted murder outside the main entrance of a five-star hotel in Limassol shortly after 7 p.m. Monday, police said.

According to state broadcaster RIK, the victim sustained abdominal injuries and was transported to Limassol General Hospital by friends. He remains hospitalized.

The suspect fled the scene with a group of companions and is currently being sought by police. Authorities believe the attack was preceded by a verbal altercation between the victim and the assailant.

Police released photos of individuals wanted in connection with the investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department at 25805057, their nearest police station, or the Citizen’s Line at 1460.
