Cyprus police announced extensive security and crowd‑management measures ahead of Saturday’s Omonia–APOEL football match at GSP Stadium, scheduled for 5 p.m. as part of the league’s second‑phase fixtures.

Stadium gates will open at 3:30 p.m., and authorities urged fans to arrive early to avoid delays. Late arrivals may enter after kickoff, police said.

All spectators must present a Fan Card and a valid match ticket. Children’s tickets will be subject to checks, and ID may be requested. Backpacks, motorcycle helmets, face‑covering items, flares, firecrackers, alcohol and banners with political, abusive or provocative content are prohibited.

Omonia supporters will occupy the west, north and east stands and are advised to approach the stadium via Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue and park in the west and north lots. APOEL supporters will use the south stand, arriving via the GSP roundabout and Independence Avenue, with parking in the south lot. APOEL fans may be held briefly after the match until Omonia supporters exit the area.

Police said violations such as illegal parking around the stadium, including on the Nicosia–Limassol highway near the GSP junction, will be reported. Officers will be deployed inside and around the stadium to ensure safety and manage traffic before and after the match.

Members of the public may contact Nicosia Police at 22‑802020, the Citizens’ Line at 1460, or emergency services at 112.
