FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday night after police discovered more than a kilogram of cannabis in his vehicle, authorities said.
Members of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN), as part of an ongoing operation targeting narcotics, stopped the suspect’s car around 8:45 p.m. in Paphos.
A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 1.194 kilograms of cannabis, a small amount of cash, and a half-smoked cannabis cigarette, police said.
The man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
The Paphos branch of YKAN is continuing its investigation.
