Cyprus promotes halloumi and commandaria at Milan’s Tuttofood exhibition

The Energy, Commerce and Industry Ministry, through the Cyprus Trade Center in Athens, took part for the first time with an information stand at the Tuttofood international food and beverage exhibition, held May 11–14 at Fiera Milano in Italy.

The aim of Cyprus’ participation in the event, one of the leading global exhibitions in the agri‑food sector, was to promote high‑quality Cypriot products in the Italian market and internationally. Products with Protected Designation of Origin status were at the center of the effort, with particular emphasis on halloumi and commandaria, two flagship items of Cypriot culinary tradition and export potential.

During the exhibition, officials held meetings with importers, distributors, buyers, retail chains and other industry stakeholders. These contacts strengthened Cyprus’ visibility as a producer of authentic Mediterranean products and created new prospects for expanding Cypriot exports to Italy and beyond.

The ministry said Cyprus’ participation forms part of ongoing efforts to boost the outward orientation of the Cypriot economy and secure a stronger presence for Cypriot products in key international markets.
