Public backing for President Nikos Christodoulides has risen since March, according to a new survey by Pulse Market Research published by Politis newspaper.
Out of 1,002 respondents, 44 percent said they held a “very positive” or “positive” opinion of Christodoulides.
That figure is up from 39 percent in March, though down from 67 percent recorded in a 2023 poll.
Support among party voters varied, with 67 percent of DIKO voters and 51 percent of DISI voters expressing approval of the president.
Views were more divided on his approach to the Cyprus issue: 32 percent were satisfied, while 63 percent said they were “not very” or “not at all” satisfied.
