FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A 17-year-old boy remains in critical condition and on life support at Nicosia General Hospital following a brutal attack early Tuesday morning in Ayia Napa, authorities said.
According to police, emergency services received a report at approximately 6:30 a.m. about an injured individual who had been transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The teen was walking with a friend along Agia Mavri Street when he was allegedly assaulted without provocation by a group of unidentified individuals.
The victim sustained a severe jaw fracture and has been intubated due to the extent of his injuries.
As of Thursday, no arrests have been made and police have yet to identify any suspects in the assault.
