FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Tourist arrivals in Cyprus reached 418,730 in April 2025, a 25.5% increase compared to 333,563 in April 2024, according to official data.
From January to April 2025, total arrivals were 865,326, up 15.6% from 748,814 in the same period last year.
The United Kingdom remained the largest source of tourists in April, accounting for 36.3% of arrivals (151,883). Israel followed with 15.2% (63,474), Germany with 7.1% (29,613), Poland with 6.9% (29,009), and Greece with 3.9% (16,354).
Holidaymakers made up 80.3% of visitors in April, while 12.7% traveled to visit friends or relatives, and 6.9% arrived for business.
A total of 164,844 Cyprus residents returned from trips abroad in April, up 24.1% from 132,806 in April 2024. The most common destinations were Greece (33.3%), the United Kingdom (8.6%), and Italy (6.5%).
