A seasonal low-pressure system is currently influencing the region.
Today’s weather is expected to remain mostly clear across Cyprus. Winds will begin light and variable at around 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly directions, remaining light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Sea conditions will be calm to slightly choppy. Temperatures will peak at 37°C inland, 31°C along the western coast, approximately 33°C on other coastal areas, and 27°C in the higher elevations.
Tonight, skies will stay mostly clear, though intermittent patches of low cloud cover may develop locally.
Winds will shift to light northwesterly to northeasterly at 3 Beaufort. The sea will remain calm to slightly choppy. Overnight temperatures will drop to 24°C inland, 22°C along the coast, and 16°C in mountainous regions.
Looking ahead to the weekend and Monday, conditions will remain predominantly fair.
However, during midday and early afternoon hours, localized cloud build-up is expected. On Sunday and Monday, these clouds may produce isolated showers, particularly in mountainous areas.
Temperatures are not expected to fluctuate significantly over the three-day period and will remain above seasonal averages.
