A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting Cyprus, bringing variable conditions through the weekend and into Monday.

On Friday, early morning low clouds and patchy fog will give way to mostly clear skies. By afternoon, increased cloud cover over mountainous and inland areas may produce isolated showers. Winds will range from southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening to 4 to 5 along coastal areas later in the day. Seas will be slightly rough. Temperatures will peak at 37°C inland, 30°C on the western coast, 32°C elsewhere along the coast, and 27°C in the mountains.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, though low clouds will persist in the west and north. Fog may form locally before dawn. Winds will shift to northwest and northeast, with southeast breezes along the northern coast, reaching 3 to 4 Beaufort. Overnight lows will drop to 20°C inland, 22°C on the coast, and 19°C in higher elevations.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly sunny, with occasional cloud buildup. Afternoon showers may develop over mountainous areas.

By Monday, isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the mountains, interior, and eastern regions. Temperatures will dip slightly Saturday and remain near seasonal averages through early next week.
