Authorities say dangerous electronic cigarettes and other prohibited products were seized during an inspection at a shop in Larnaca that sells cannabinoids and related items.
According to Alithia, the Customs Department carried out the operation last Friday in cooperation with police and the pharmaceutical and health services. Officers reportedly found liquid used in electronic cigarettes, along with synthetic narcotics and other substances containing banned cannabinoids.
Five arrested in separate police sweep
In a separate report, the paper said five people were arrested Sunday night during a police operation across the Republic of Cyprus. The arrests were linked to various offenses, including carrying knives and driving under the influence of alcohol. Police also impounded five vehicles.
