An attempted murder occurred around 6:00 p.m. in Pegeia, near Paphos.
A Greek Cypriot man, 57 years old, allegedly shot his Greek Cypriot wife, 46 years old, with a shotgun outside their home.
Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nikolaou, stated that the woman has pellets in various parts of her body. State radio reported he had underwent surgery, but experienced complications and was expected to be transferred to Nicosia General Hospital.
The was arrested and is being questioned.
According to CyBC, the incident was allegedly preceded by an intense argument between the couple.
