FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The daughter of a senior Royal Air Force officer has been charged with grievous bodily harm following an alleged assault on another British woman in Cyprus.
Jessica Cloke, 20, is accused of attacking the woman with a glass during a bar fight, causing injuries described as stretching “from eye to neck,” according to local reports.
Cloke is the daughter of Group Captain Simon Cloke, who previously commanded the RAF base at Akrotiri, part of the island’s British Overseas Territory.
The incident reportedly occurred two weeks ago near the base. Cloke was released on bail by a judge in the Sovereign Base Areas court and is scheduled to return Sept. 22 to enter a plea.
A source familiar with the case described the altercation as “vicious” and said it could have ended far worse. Authorities have not released further details about the victim’s condition.
